LO1 Exercise - Business Process

1- Explain Business Intelligence and its purpose.
2- Discuss Business Process with example.
3- Identify and describe the business process model.

Answers:
1- Business Intelligence refers to technologies, applications and practices for the collection, integration, analysis and presentation of business information.

The purpose is to support better business decision making.

The result of the surveys will be submitted to the higher ranked person (boss), because the boss will make the decision.

Business process

A business process is a collection of linked tasks which find their end in the delivery of a service or product to a client.   A business process has also been defined as a set of activities and tasks that, once completed, will accomplish an organizational goal. 

2- A set of related tasks performed to produce a product or service.

3- There are a lot of business process model that can be used.

I choose Gantt chart and Flowchart.

Gantt chart is worked as they will break the tasks down into sub-tasks, each of which has the specific time-frame. Gantt chart also provide the timeline to be set.

Flowchart will have diagrams which the each diagram will representing a process using different symbol containing information about steps of event.
Every symbol is linked with arrows.
